Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. Also, she sings. Sara Ramirez was brought up by her American mother and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts and caused her to feel uncomfortable. In the 9th grade, she started to feel more secure after being praised by her teachers for singing at a school's audition. The experience not only boosted her confidence but also shifted her goals for the future. The 22-year-old graduated with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. As she was turning 23, she started her journey on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old her first film debut was You've received mail. The character of The Lady of The Lake became her greatest breakthrough, bringing her an award called the Tony Award in addition to critical acclaim for her performance. Later in the same year she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. As a well-known singer, she has also released a single as well as an extended show. As an activist, she works tirelessly in the cause of LGBT equality.
